Here's a quick sketch I drew for my roommate. I used a reference of Eva Green. I'm not completely happy with how it turned out, but hey, practice is practice as I always say.

~2 hours on Toned Grey Stratmore paper
Hey guys, I'm still working on requests, but I might have to finish them over winter break. I've been pretty busy in the past month and haven't had much time to draw, but assuming things work out, I'll have a lot of time over winter break to draw. :) Love all of you, and thanks for being patient!
Levi.8.14.2015 by amirafox
Quick sketch of Levi from Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin.

I remember disliking Levi the first time I watched SnK because I didn't pay close attention to the politics between the Survey Corps and Military Police. I was shocked watching him beat up Eren at the court, and after that moment, I just couldn't find myself being interested in his overall character. However, on the second time around, I was able to focus more of my attention on the supporting characters because I knew the overall plot of the anime. The scene where Petra explains Levi's shortcomings despite being seen as humanity's strongest really hit me, and I started liking Levi because he has all these facets to his personality that we don't immediately see.

Here's a quick experimental piece... I tend to mess up my drawings once I use marker.

I just wanted to see if I could get a repetition of quick, rectangular strokes using marker. I used some liquid whiteout to help create a textured, built-up effect.

This piece reminded me of…

/* still failing at facial angles and hands ahh */

Here is :icongazerei: 's OC :…

I had a great time drawing this piece! As always, I had some issues with anatomy (hands!).

Hey!  I know I've been very inactive this past year, and I want to try and make it up this summer.  I'm taking summer classes, so I don't have too much time on my hands during the weekdays (or really the weekends, for that matter).  The class I'm currently taking has a pretty heavy workload, and I won't be finished with it until next week (that means studying for quizzes and the final, eek). I'll have next weekend off, though, and I'm hoping I can spit out some quick pieces.  I'm planning on drawing/sketching that entire weekend, and I'm going to head to the art store downtown and pick up some art supplies.  After that weekend, I start another class, but hopefully by that time I'll manage my time a bit better. If not, I'll be home for a couple of weeks before school starts, and I'll definitely be working on the majority of my unfinished pieces.

Here's what I hope to work on:

-Architecture and landscape
-Quick, semi-realistic doodles (some might feature fanart -- I haven't decided yet)
-Anatomy (the two main things I want to work on this summer are architecture and anatomy because they're still the hardest things for me to draw)
-Realistic portraits
-Dragons (of course)
-Pattern-making/vector images (Adobe Illustrator is AMAZING. I'm still a beginner, but I've been watching some tutorials in my free time, and honestly, it's is so much more versatile than Photoshop Elements.  I don't have Photoshop CS6, so I can't compare Illustrator CS6 to it.  But damn, Illustrator has a TON of nifty features.)

I'm not going to take any requests this summer (because I always fail to properly gauge when I'll finish requests), but feel free to suggest a topic (preferably one that overlaps with the topics listed above)!  I might end up including the suggestion in some of my sketches!

Good days, bad days -- we must persist in the face of challenge if we ever hope to improve.
"We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit." -- E.E. Cummings
